I dreamt about this photo shooting for a long long time.
My aim was to create a classic and very romantic wedding scenario in a rustic setting and I would never guess that London could offer me that type of atmosphere.
I guess I learned a very important lesson here: do not judge a book from its cover and you will find truly inspirational gems just around the corner!
It has been a very intense, emotional and beautiful experience and I received huge support from all the vendors that help me to make my dream vision come true. I am in great debt with all of them.
Location
Far far away from Central London sparks and glitz, in the leafy West Dulwich The Rosendale Public House stands out with its dramatic building and delicious food. This landmark tavern located in South London was the perfect scenario for my autumnal wedding inspiration shooting.
Flowers & Cake
Magnificent florals were a big part of the decor. Our florist Lucy Lister have done a great job embracing completely my vision. The key element of our long table runner decoration was wild, natural greens matching perfectly the white blooming roses, wax flowers and glass candle holder.
The gracious composition of eucalyptus and white flowers structured the bouquet and buttonhole completing the natural look I was aiming for.
The final floral touch was embellishing our deconstructed nude wedding cake kindly prepared by Danae Dade owner of Cookies & Biscuits.
Danae, with all her curls and big glasses, is the sweetest pastry chef I ever know.
She is specialized in bespoke vegan cakes and she prepared for us the lovely wedding lemon cake that you can see below. As she kindly offers it at the end of the shooting I can assure you that not only was beautiful but had also a heavenly soft texture and sublime taste.
Bride & Groom
The wedding dress by Lisa Lyons Bridal was just meant to be for our whimsical and romantic theme. Blooming in a vaporous & elegant A-line with luxurious embroidery, it hugged Elle’s body in the most delicate way. Hair and Makeup for our couple were flawlessly done by Claudia London and Miriam MakeupArtistry.
The Molten Wedding Ring Company kindly provide us with these simple and elegant wedding ring bands making a remarkable statement on our couple’s fingers. This jewellery comes from the expert hands of Erin Cox that since 2005 makes unique wedding rings that are ethical, luxurious and timeless with a modern twist.
