A truly Romantic Country Estate
Nestled in the heart of the estate, Orchardleigh House is an elegant 19th century Victorian stately home that had provided the ultimate fairytale setting for Shari & Tariq wedding.
The enchanting array of backdrops made Orchardleigh House the perfect location for this winter wonderland wedding.
A magical Winter Wonderland set up
Shari & Tariq’s envision a winter woodland set up for their wedding day.
Davina Marques at Dkm Events and Jennifer Owen at Goldfinch Floral Studio created this inspirational composition with laudable manufacturing skills.
Both ceremony and reception spaces were transformed with flowers and foliage creating a ‘dusted with snow’ look.
Pale icy coloured foliage, white toned flowers and spray appearance flowers were used to make this dreamy look come true.
In addition, the dining room was enhanced with high and low displays for the tables, making the optical illusion of a bigger space:
- For the tall arrangements they used a mix of blossom branches, pussy willow and twisted willow for a subtle hint of magic.
- The low displays were done in moss and arranged inside rose gold cubes.
The final result was magnificent as this helped to give the impression of a fantasy woodland floor growing from the tables and through the cubes.
Luxurious Geometrical Cake
David at The Cake Architect made this gorgeous cake that you can admire in the pictures below.
He incorporates both Shari’s wedding colours – the wedding theme as well as the geometrical & feather features.
Deep teal tones, geometric patterns and rose gold were made for this opulent and striking statement wedding cake.
The cake was a delicious combination of red velvet, pina colada, carrot, cookies and cream cakes. It was a fantastic mix of shapes, sizes and colours that brought together Shari’s vision!
Bride and Groom: Shari & Tariq
Shari & Tariq frosty fairy tale could not be completed without their amazing outfit to crown them Winter Queen & King!Lora Nova Bridal created the bespoke Shari’s “The Snow Queen” dress. The outfit has been created with Italian materials in her boutique in London – she also sketched herself the whole dress look!
She used a snow-white shade of silk satin overlaid with delicate silver sparkles tulle to resemble snowflakes falling on the backdrop of a winter sky.
Lora “drenched” the bottom of the skirt in ostrich feathers and ivory bugle beads, which added extra winter elegance as well as matching the dress to the feather cape.
The design of the neckline and sleeves were done in a cape-like style as well, which tied into the entire look, whilst adding a sensual touch. The cape was a masterpiece made by Julia Marie Chew of Xiao Lin Design.
The perfect finishing touch for this terrific dress.? Hand-sewing delicate ivory beads all around the neckline and across the waistline.
Tariq’s Sherwani was a masterpiece itself, all teal and silver embroidery recalling the wedding theme and completing Shari sumptuous dress.
